Mt parliament of owls is increasing (while it’s been an eventful week in the other parliament, I’ll steer clear of it here.
My latest owlet is another sewing version, for a friend I met many years ago on the grape harvest in Beaujolais, where we should see her next week.
Bella has been helping me with a bit of general sewing and she sends you all purrs. The bamboo fabric, there, is a pair of trousers that was too long. They were actually sold as pyjamas
but the top has become a favourite light jacket and the trousers are fine for summer.

With Kent on a red warning this week, I’m cancelling plans. We were supposed to go to the Frida Khalo exhibition at the Rate on Friday but I’m a member and can go another time, as it’s on till next Jan.
We are going to our goddaughter’s birthday party, but will take it easy. It looks a bit cooler next week
And finally ….
Happy WOYWW

ReplyDeleteHi Lynne, you were right last week I am finding all kinds of things that I had forgotten I had. I've done some work in the cabin this morning and back to visit you all now. Nice pygamas, gorgeous fabric. Your Owl collection continues to grow and pleased Bella is as helpful as ever. Wishing you a very happy and cool woyww (hopefully) hugs Angela x8x
ReplyDeleteHello Lynne, That last funny made me laugh out loud. Love the pyjamas too. They look so cool and comfortable. Your owls parliament is impressive. I'm sure Bella is as helpful as Silver! 😂 Happy WOYWW. Elizabeth #10
ReplyDeleteI think it goes without saying that I am really struggling with this heat. Even with the air-con 24/7 in my craft/bedroom the temp has climbed up to 24 degrees today and at that temperature I stop functioning at the best of times. The rest of the house is way hotter so I'm only leaving my room for food/drink and very quick bathroom breaks today. Roll on Sunday and hopefully a break in the weather. Love your parliament - Arnoldo has a Siege on his blog today! Super trousers/jacket nice and cool no doubt. Hugs Bj#10
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sleep suggestion of a wet flannel. I did use a wet muslin over me last night and have one round my neck now today as completely exasperated even in my air-con room. Our house is usually quite cool but not in this heat. We have a board covering the skylight in the kitchen and one of those car stick on shades on the window there too plus a new blind in the conservatory window from the kitchen - we close doors and curtains against the hot sun and only open when it's cooler but it just isn't getting cool enough at the moment. Hugs BJ#10
ReplyDeleteGreat funnies. Enjoy your trip to France. Hugs Angela
