WOYWW 667 Sunflowers and crazy crochet

Hi again, back for our weekly blog hop via Julia of the Stamping Ground
Sorry I didn’t get round many of the blogs last week; I spent the week taking lots of codeine for my toe and was a bit dopey.
I had a last minute idea of how to support our village coffee morning for Ukraine and made sunflower brooches.

I’ve done a bit more crazy crochet, too.

Thanks for your kind comments about my toe, (which is a bit better) and on my map, which I really enjoyed creating.
My fruit and almond tea bread is now officially Welsh bara brith since B said it was even better  than his Mum’s 💕💕

The cats seem to have called a truce again 🤞🏻.
Lots of hard sleeping, with a bit of charging around madly now and again.

And finally…

Take care and happy crafting
Hugs

  2. The sunflowers are fab! I’m sure they’ll sell well at the coffee morning and raise lots of money. The colours fit in nicely into your crazy crochet too, it’s such fun, you do ‘random’ extremely well, I find it almost impossible. High praise indeed for your tea bread, Rene would be proud!

  3. Oh well done, the sunflowers are quite lovely. I don’t envy you the brooch back stitching, hateful job! I think if your Barr’s Brith is better than his Mum’s then he’s finally repaid all the years you’ve invested in him!😜😂 it’s one of my favourites, I must say.

  6. Me again! Well done on the amount raised at the coffee morning, awesome! You’re right about cat fabric, the only ones I’ve seen are too cutesy. The cafe is dog friendly so I guess there’s a captive audience.

  10. Blimey! Better than his Mum's? That is high praise from a hubby indeed. Your crazy crochet is so colourful and appealing and the sunflower brooches are lovely. Many hands doing even small things can make a difference. It's lovely to hop from desk to desk and see so many people doing something charitable, in whatever form. Hope you toe continues to improve!
    Happy late-in-the-day WOYWW

  14. So sorry to be so late this week, or was it last week! Son gone, feeling a tad better so loads to catch up with.

Bara Brith - Can't believe I grew up in Wales and only come across this term on Duolingo! Have you got the update yet, it's a right pickle, totally reorganised and lots of new terms/vocab earlier on, loads of XP redoing some earlier sections.

Love your sunflower broaches and crazy crochet and I hope the toe is sorting itself out. Hugs

    Thanks for visiting me BJ#8
