She had a couple of nasty bites on her back. I’d guess it’s from the black cat that’s been raiding their food bowls.
She hated the vet’s cone and I ordered one off A- which was far too big. I spent all the Wimbly final hand-sewing it to make it smaller. (Yay King Carlos!) I wanted to make the stitches really small do she couldn’t trap her claws in them.
I’ve also started crocheting my chevron blanket again. I took it to France but never got it out, it was so hot.
We celebrated our Ruby wedding anniversary chez Georges Blanc in Vonnas (great food!)
And visited Cluny, a really interesting old town, despite the hot weather.
And finally…
Anyway, that’s us up to date.
I’m off to visit everyone’s work desks c/o
Julia at The Stamping Ground while I wait for an exciting delivery, which I’ll tell you about next week!
Take care and happy WOYWW!

LOL! "join the resistance!" made me laugh so hard. Your cone looks handy. Poppy is still new enough to us that she is not keen on the nail cutting. I think I need one of those to keep those teeth away LOL! Glad to hear you are back to the blankie - it's looking good.
ReplyDeleteHappily a bit better for WOYWW!

Oops, it was doing that anonymouse thing again! Anyway! Yay for the first time in months for some reason, I can use Julia's Mr Linky to see who's in WOYWW and am using this rare time to go round and say Hi!! I don't know how long the link will be fooled! Very clever Turner funny! and the cats! Great pictures, and great pussycat ring, nice and soft! 737 isn't tht an airplane!? Happy WOYWW ((Lyn)) #7
ReplyDeleteI missed you while you were gone. It looks and sounds like you had a lovely time, despite the heat at the end of your trip. Happy belated anniversary. Nice milestone.
ReplyDeletePoor Bella. I feel for her. That is why my two don't go outside. Happy WOYWW from # 1.

Lawks, sorry to read about the asthma being triggered, that must have really taken it out of you in the heat.always good to be home, huh. Great alternative cone for Bella, it looks very very much more comfortable. We've put the bedspread back on over the summer weight duvet, so am not surprised that you can go back to the chevron blanket, it's cool enough in the shade or evenings! Your trip was most enjoyable, really loved seeing the pics!
ReplyDeleteI’ve never seen one of those cat doughnuts before, what a great idea and much more pleasant for them than the cone of shame! Hope Bella is up and at it again very soon. Your holiday looked amazing, I’m so pleased you had a great time, a wonderful way to celebrate your 40th anniversary. Hope the little dragon on the lovespoon is behaving itself!

We've just got back from taking Daisy (Schnauzer) to the vets for her Spaying and it will be interesting to see what they send her home with as they don't use the cones anymore apparently. That looks better that you have for your cat. I'm sure you had a nice time away but it is always nice to get back home again. I had to smile that you took the blanket with you and that you never got it out but that could be because you were busy doing other things. Wishing you a very happy and creative woyww. Angela x8x
ReplyDeleteYour French trip sounds lovely. Yes, I can imagine too hot for crocheting. I hope your asthma settles down soon. Love the cat doughnut x Angela #14
ReplyDeleteI followed your trip on FB - looked lovely every step along the way. Big smiles gave the game away that you were loving it.
ReplyDeleteWhat black cat? How nasty - hope it doesn't come near again, was that in a cattery? Good job you are handy with a needle and thread, you made a super job of that new collar.
Hope all settles now you are home.
Hugs, neet 16 xx
Hi. Did see a lot about your celebrations on FB. How wonderful to celebrate like that. Our 50th was in 2021 - well we all, had a super celebration but not what had been planned. Hope you feel better soon. Anne x 18
