Brian’s slipover is nearly done. It’s for his birthday in January. This is the front. I’ve just the neck and arm borders to do. He’s not keen on having his photo taken 😘
My Christmas tree is up and it’s like welcoming old friends back. The fairy is as old as I am:
Our LLJ made the Christmas puddings for me
This lovely cracker was made by my friend Paula
This bird came from our friend, Liz with our card this year.
We had a nice Xmas party with my writing group and partners, plenty of food and drink, with Xmas themed stories.
Bella and Gracie send purrs to you all and hope you have many crunchy mice in your midwinter feasts. 😻😻
And finally…
See…😹😹

The slipover is looking great Lynne. Great memories with the tree decorations. Stay safe and Merry WOYWW Christmas. Sarah #1
ReplyDeleteThe slip over is looking great, you’ve made a good choice with the colours - it suits Brian very much already! I love seeing the old favourites on the Christmas tree each year, the fairy is looking good! Loved the deer and mice pies funnies, they made me hoot!!
ReplyDeleteHope you and Bri have a wonderful Christmas, we’ll be in touch sometime over the festive season xx

So nice to see the tree with handmade dangles!! Great funnies as always xx. Happy Christmas Helen #2
ReplyDeleteLOL to the funnies of course. The slipover is progressing wonderfully and it will be warm to wear I'm sure. We recently updated our main tree (retiring the one we got the first year we married) and this year dragged out a tree from in-between (specially bought to fit the space where the original tree was too big) so we have two up this year. Yikes.
ReplyDeleteHappy Christmas WOYWW!

Oh such fun photos. I always love Christmas trees and the fun homemade ornaments Merry Christmas to You and Yours. May your days be Merry and Bright.
ReplyDeleteI'm late calling in cos I had a surprise customer this morning who wanted 7 memory bears making before Christmas!!! Hense I've been head down sewing all day and hope to finish them off tomorrow as I am out tonight at Sam's singing concert [He's singing a duet with a little 9 yr old little girl so will be taking my tissues ].
ReplyDeleteI'm doing a flying visit today to wish everyone a very happy Christmas. Hope to 'see' you all after the festivities.
Hugs,

The slipover is looking great - the colours are gorgeous. I love decorations that have memories and friendships attached to them, it's so nice to see old favourites each year. I had to laugh at the mice pies - is that what Gracie and Bella will be having in their stockings!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a very happy and healthy Christmas,

That slipover is going to be a fab cosy extra layer isn't it . My chair was a fiddle but straightforward. The seat and back came off so I could get to the fabric. I used the old fabric as a pattern and then attached bias binding all round both pieces, then threaded a drawstring through so I could put the cover back on and draw them up tightly. Then hubby replaced the seat and back. All good fun😀 All the best for Christmas and 2024. x x Jo
ReplyDeleteThat last cartoon is spot on. They come with their various gadgets and not a peep is heard! The slipover is looking fabulous. Wishing you a great Christmas. Happy WOYWW. Angela #18
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit late getting round today as we've been to pick up a new car this afternoon. Looks like you're ready for Christmas and I'm loving the funnies too. Wishing you a very happy woyww Christmas. Angela x11x
ReplyDeleteMice pies! I made five dozen yesterday, but not of the mice variety. If that doesn't see us through, send help! I agree, unpacking the box of tree decorations is a real pleasure , familiar and lovely memories. Each year I manage to surprise myself by having forgotten something or other! I think the slipover is looking really good...I know I've already said it, but I do love the colours, and the reluctant model but happy recipient just makes me smile! Our very best wishes for a lovely Christmasxxx.
ReplyDeleteYikes! Mice Pies! The cats would love them! I've always wondered why we don't have mouse flavoured cat food! LOL! Now if only the cats would get the real mice I would be happy, but so far the mice have eluded them, and us! Handmade gifted ornaments are the best - they come with memories! I have quite a few on my tree as well! My fav cartoon is the one with the deer - wow! Very cool. Merry Christmas!🎄❄️🎅 Lindart #20
