WOYWW 795 Watercolours and crochet

Hi all, back again for our weekly blog hop care of Sarah’s craft shed
I have a large ‘nurses’ bag’ I got from Amazon for my art supplies but I got so fed up with losing stuff in it that it’s now organised into separate plastic bags inside: paint, sponges, accessories, water pots.

I’ve also organised my brushes into a new brush roll so I’m not struggling to find space for them all.
So I’m all set now for the new term. I wasn’t like that at school, I tell you. 🤣🤣.

My desk this week:

I wasn’t happy with my first attempt at painting Hokusai’s Boy Watching Mount Fuji so I’ve started again.

Number 2:
There’s still a way to go…

Bella’s happier when I’m crocheting than painting as she can sleep on my knee when I’m crocheting.
I’m joining up at the mo’.

Bella sends you all purrs.
And finally….

Take care and happy WOYWW
hugs
Lynnecrafts xx

  1. LOL! I am still laughing at that last comic. How true. Your watercolour is stunning, both of them, and Bella will just have to wait for crochet time as it would be a real shame if you let her convince you to stop painting. You really show what a bit of dedication can do. Give Bells a scritch for me and Poppy!
Hoping for a better desk-hop day this week!

  4. Great funnies, although was the man afraid of turning the water to blood or parting the water? 🤣🤣 Have fun with your watercolour painting. Is this a slipover you are crocheting? Happy WOYWW. Angela #9

  7. Oh the Moses joke made me LOL and not quite sure what the last one was meaning but hey I don't seem to be thinking straight in this heat. Nice to see you all sorted for the new term your painting has come on leaps and bounds, long may it continue. Hugs BJ#12

  8. Hi Lynne, we just have to get organised sometimes if we are going to find stuff without bursting a blood vessel or is that just me Lol! I had to smile at the funnies. We're in Matlock Bath at the moment and Bank Holiday Monday there must have been hundreds of motorbikes parked along the road here and no scooters! Happy woyww, Angela x10x

  10. Love the fabric of your nurses bag, so bright and cheery and the Indian inspired brushes roll. Now why did I not think of making one with 'layers' rather than two - ie one for large and one for small brushes.
The painting is coming along nicely and I look forward to it being finished for us to see it.
    Have a good week
    Hugs, Neet 1 xx

  13. The colour test was very interesting! My turquoise is blue. My boundary is at hue 172, greener than 63% of the population. Your apple study is wonderful! I remember doing studies like this in middle school, of animals. I wish I still had them! My favourite funny today is the potato one! Have a wonderful week, Lindart #17.
