WOYWW 876 Resting and curating

Hi all,Sending healing hugs to our Neet, and thinking of the patients and families suffering from the meningitis epidemic only 12 miles away from us.

I have an idea for some beading / embroidery so am currently collecting / curating supplies. I can shop for Britain when I’m on steroids 🤩
Beads and sashiko threads and some felt for now.
I’m resting, still suffering from Bell’s palsy. I saw my excellent physio by video call yesterday and he confirmed my eye is closing better so I don’t have to tape it anymore. Yay! The palsy’s exhausting me though and stupid systems at my GP have made the ‘roid rage hard to control. Their Econsult doesn’t recognise *diagnosed* Bell’s palsy and kept trying to send me down A&E stroke pathways so I missed the slot for getting a doctor’s call. Grrr🤬. Still, collecting nice supplies is fun

I’ve also been crocheting twiddles when I’ve not had much energy.
Bella’s been giving me lots of cuddles and supervising me. She sends you all purrs.
Happy St Patrick’s and St. Gertrude of Nivelles day for yesterday. I like St Gertrude, she’s the patron saint of cats

And finally …

I’ll be round in the morning, to visit care of Sarah’s Craftshed
Take care and happy WOYWW
Hugs

  1. sorry you're still suffering from Bell's Palsy and not getting joy from the GP surgery; I hope that changes soon. Well done on managing to shop for supplies for your new project! Happy WOYWW (great funnies!) Helen #3

  2. Oh sorry you have still not recovered as much as you need, and boo to the GP for not taking it in hand. I HATE E-CONSULT. I need to go look for twiddles - I don't even know how they work LOL! Take the cuddles from Bella and hopefully they will keep you smiling. OMG the book on penguins made me snort! Happy WOYWW, in a pre-knitting day dash!

  4. It’s so frustrating getting to talk to a person rather than fight the computer system these days….Honestly I feel you rage, I’ll come and sit on them while you take out your frustration!! You have been getting some really lovely new bits and pieces for the slow stitching, lovely colour choices, and the twiddles are a basketful of fun! The St Patrick funny made me hoot and I didn’t know about St Gertrude, you learn something new every day eh?!

PS Oh I don’t mind being a BagJan really, it’s makes me laugh!

  5. Happy WOYWW. We are lucky with our GPs (the previous ones in Haverfordwest and now the current ones in a village about 2 miles from here). It is relatively easy to get an appointment - and their EConsult seems to work well if you don't need to be examined. Sorry to hear that your energy levels are so affected. I am struggling at the moment and definitely had to reduce my commitments/plans (was meant to be in London today for a recording of the QI tv show, but couldn't face the coach journey). The Map of a Cat's Bed is definitely accurate. We miss our Milky - but we do get better sleep without her ! Ali x #12

  6. Hoping you soon feel better but it does seem a good opportunity to add to your stash.😀 Well done on all those twiddles - they will be well used I'm sure. Loved the St Pat funny x x Jo 🌈

  7. The funnies are brilliant, although Gertrude may have problems as cats and gardeners don’t always play well together. I couldn’t get the St Patrick one, and then the penny dropped- he drove the snakes out of Ireland! What a hoot! The cat sitting on the eggs was funny too.

Getting an appointment at the doctors is ridiculous these days. I am glad the Bell's Palsy is slowly improving. Take care and enjoy your shopping! Hugs Angela #4

  8. Oh my - what a super basket of loveliness, I'm glad the collection is fun as contacting the GPs is getting ridiculous isn't it - I'm sure they are making it difficult on purpose. Oh wow to the crochet twiddles what a gorgeous collection. Hugs Bj#1

  10. Good to hear there has been some improvement- the eye taping must have been a real faff. I'm not surprised you don't have much energy these things can really take it out of you. The twiddles are gorgeous though and I so agree with you about the uselessness of these e systems - drives me to a few choice words as well!! The shopping haul looks scrummy, hope you have fun with it.
Have a good week, Love n hugs, Cindyxx #11
