I wrote a short poem for her. Follow this link if you wish to see it.
I haven’t done much crafting this week. Jan wanted some flowers for a couple of projects local to her so I’m sending daffodils to Wales. I like that idea.
I particularly like the violas so I shall make some of them into a wreath for Thea. We pick up her ashes today.
We went to pick up some free muck for the garden this week, from a couple with alpacas.
The alpacas were cute to see. If you zoom in on the white one, her fur looks almost knitted where she’s been sheared.
This rose is lovely. Our friend and neighbour, Liz, bought it round for Thea. The Lyminge art exhibition has gone ahead and my scarecrow, along with some paintings I did, are now on display in my front window/garden: There are supposed to be balloons to highlight exhibitor sites but they keep going down.

Happy WOYWW and keep crafting

Poor little Thea, I know how much she was loved - those roses from Liz are a beautiful gift in here memory. Thank you in advance for the flowers, I’m hoping they’ll turn up today, I must ring the organiser to see when she ants them for as I’m still making a few as well, Great for using up scraps. The alpaca pics made me smile, I hope their ‘offerings’ make the garden grow even more beautifully!

Oh how incredibly sad. My heart goes out to you. I was so sorry to read this. So nice of your neighbor to bring roses for Thea.
ReplyDeleteYou have made some wonderful flowers and those alpaca were fun to see. Happy WOYWW from # 12.
I'm so sorry to read about Thea Lynne, keep all those precious memories of her in your thoughts. Our pets really do become part of our family, the roses were a thoughtful gift in her memory.
ReplyDeleteYou take good care of yourselves, in my thoughts Tracey #1 x
P.S The crochet flowers are so pretty x
I'm so sorry to hear about Thea - how terribly sad for you. The rose is a lovely gift to remember her by. I love your flowers and I think the viola's will make a beautiful wreath, such a rich colour. It's good to see your chap in pride of place in your garden - he looks great - and the paintings also look amazing - I love the Frieda watercolour.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you,

Your flowers are lovely. I am so sorry to hear about Thea, sending love and hugs Angela #7
ReplyDeleteLynne, terribly sorry to hear about Thea! I have had to put down my daughters beloved cat and her dog several years ago and neither task was easy! They do become our babies and especially when they grow up with your babies! My heart is sending peaceful vibes your way and the rose will be such a good reminder year after year! How awesome that your art is in the front window at the exhibit!! I would be over the moon if anyone looked twice at my art! LOL Congrats! Peace and blessings for the rest of your week Lynne! ReplyDeleteDear Lynne, I am so, so sorry. Your post has reduced me to tears. Poor little Thea. I know we shall all miss her here on WOYWW. We have so many kitties in our WOYWW family and they love to take centre stage! We have been through this several times and know exactly how you feel - much loved, central members of our families, and so adorable with all their funny little habits and ways, and their loss leaves a terrible breach. I know how much she was missing Dino when you lost him not that long ago. I think your crochet flower wreath for her is such a beautiful idea, and how thoughtful of a friend to bring you flowers for Thea, too.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts and prayers are with you.
Thank you for your comment and your good wishes for my operation on 9th. I am glad you like my warped card!
Hard to say "happy" WOYWW so I'll just say I'm standing with you today and sending hugs, from me and from Lily and Ruby.

I am so sorry to hear about Thea, and loved the poem you wrote to remember her by. I like the idea of daffodils to Wales, bit like coals to Newcastle, only prettier! Take care. Helen #11
ReplyDeleteHow lovely of the neighbour to bring you those roses for Thea. When I lost my little Ollie a lady told me to make a scrapbook with his pictures and memories. It was hard to do but I have valued it since - plus the other two for Tabitha and Fudge I did later when they went over the Rainbow Bridge.
ReplyDeleteLove your paintings and things - what a lovely display - and the Viking is superb.
Gentle hugs, Neet 10 xx
Oh Lynne, it’s not silly, not at all. Missing Thea is really the hard part of having her isn’t it. Your neighbour’s gift is just lovely, so thoughtful. I didn’t realise that the Lyminge festive was a walk around, how nice! Yep, can totally see why ending daffodils to wales gives you pleasure…you’ve done loads too, I bet Jan will be made up! Lovely to think of your skills being used to adorn other parts of the nation!
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated WOYWW. I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is always horrible. As Neet says, use all your photos and memories to scrapbook/photo books. I have several for various pets who have gone over Rainbow Bridge, and they make me smile/cry. I was talking to our plumber yesterday about Buzz the Dog, who we lost in September. It was lovely to talk about him again with someone who remembers him too. Fantastic flowers on their way to Wales. Ali x #15
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about Thea Lynne. It is so devastating to lose a fur baby. My sister has her beloved Mittens ashes in a special container with a photo frame in front with his picture next to the fire where he used to like to sleep. I am sure Jen will love the flowers and the wreath and rose are a lovely tribute to Thea. Stay safe. Sarah #9
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about Thea Lynne. Horrible to lose one of our furry friends. The Rose is a lovely touch. Really like your daffs - is that a bit like coals to Newcastle? Alpacas are such cute little creatures, their faces are so friendly. Have a good week, stay well, stay safe, love nhugs Cindy xx #18
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm late this week just got a bit distracted. Sorry to hear about your kitty but the funnies made me smile. Have a happy belated woyww, Angela x23x

It's always sad to loose a pet.. they have become family members - so sorry you lost Thea. I like the exhibition in the front garden, a lot of people in our town have 'window-exhibitions' too and I always stand still to take a look! Have a nice weekend you beautiful one, hug from Holland! Marit #13
ReplyDeleteOh I am so sorry to hear about your beloved cat, Thea. It is heartbreaking I know. It's so annoying when they miss something too, been there. Your crochet flowers are gorgeous and so are the llamas Happy WOYWW! Elle #24, EOTC
