Julia was closest in suggesting dreadlocks last week.
This is my Anglo-Saxon scarecrow for our village festival. We’ve had a lot of local archeology, hence the theme.
This week I found a hat pattern
It starts like this, I add a crown and a brim (with some milliners wire) and....
I do hope Thea is ok now, it’s worrying when they’re not themselves. The Warrior is fantastic, I do like his hair, you and B have done a fab job, he really did make me smile! That hat looks fun, the perfect thing to keep the sun off your neck - I’ve never yet found a hat to really suit me, they just look wrong!

Glad to hear that Thea appears to be feeling a bit better Lynne. Your scarecrow looks absolutely amazing! Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #14 (I had a lie in for the holidays).
ReplyDeleteI hope Thea is ok too, isn't it amazing how we just know when they are not themselves. Hopefully some TLC will be the perfect medicine.
ReplyDeleteYour scarecrow is magnificent i'd love him in my garden hee hee..

Good morning, Lynn. Me thinks that poor little cat just did too much and wore herself out, possibly intimidated by somethign else that left her uneasy. She'll be back to her usual soon. Lots of love will do the trick. I LOVE your scarecrowish guy. Look forward to seeing him all decked out in finery yet to be completed. Creative Blessings! Kelly #26
ReplyDeleteYour scarecrow is very impressive - I love the little raven insignia, so cleverly done. I hope Thea is fully recovered now - it's so worrying when they can't tell you what's wrong itsn't it. Love the 'and finally' this week, the phone one is particularly apt for me at the moment!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week,

Good luck with the hat. It looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteThe scarecrow is great!
Hope your kitty is well again soon.
Happy WOYWW!

The crochet hat sounds fun! I love your scarecrow and the raven is brilliant! I hope little Thea is OK and not going down with something. They are a worry sometimes! Your funnies this week are fabulous. I laughed out loud at the first one - this is how I feel whenever I try to phone the GP's surgery - it's a total waste of time, sitting in a queue for nearly an hour. For some reason they won't make an appointment if you turn up in person and speak to the receptionist across the desk! So frustrating.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit and your good wishes. I'm glad you like my new knitting/crochet bag - it is pretty impressive, isn't it! The pencil case is going to be very useful, I think. I'd already decided to remove one or two of the pages to make more room for other bits and pieces. Both kitties disgraced themselves majorly in my hubby's absence, but since his return, they've both been good as gold. Typical. I had a phone call from the breast unit this a.m. and they want me to go in tomorrow morning to discuss my results.
Happy WOYWW,

So I hope Thea has just been having you on a bit...perhaps she had a really wild night on the tiles! Very glad to see her safe and sound, no doubt your were too! a well how clever am I to have got as close as dreadlocks, although of course, I should have thought a little harder about the Anglo Saxon angle! He looks splendid I must say, a bit too good to be a scarecrow!
ReplyDeleteHi Lynne, I have to be honest I've been out Lol! We have a friend who is going into hospital soon and our little group of retired teachers just wanted to wish her all the best so we sat and had coffee but I'm back now. Hope your kitty is okay. The hat sounds interesting and loving the funnies. Wishing you a very happy woyww and a lovely week too. Angela x13x
ReplyDeleteI do hope Theo is alright, sometimes you wish they could talk! Jack was sick twice this morning, but still wanted his breakfast, I thought it better he had it later. Your scarecrow is amazing! Happy WOYWW Angela #15
ReplyDeleteHope Theo is ok now. The scarecrow looks fab! Love the funnies. Helen #1
ReplyDeleteYour 'funny' reminds me of my trying to ring our GP surgery. it rings engaged for about 6 tries and then when I get through I am told I am "no 5 in the queue".
ReplyDeleteLove the hat - I cannot imagine how you are going to make the brim so I am looking forward to seeing it finished.
Love your scarecrow - great ideas for dressing him up - photos when finished please. Plus any more you can get - I love seeing things like that.
Hope Thea is better, it is worrying when your little cat is uwell.
Hugs, Neet 4 xx
Hi Lynne - I do so love your edgy crafty space - it always seems to have more than you make out - the raven is amazing - and I love your addition of "meme" jokes - a good laugh - Stay safe 7 well - Cheers Maurs xxx #12
ReplyDeleteI thought I'd left a comment, Lynne, but it doesn't seem to be here so I'll try again! Your raven is brilliant, and the hat looks intriguing! Isn't crochet fun. Love the funnies, especially the first one! How true... Thank you for your visit. I'm loving the Persian tiles pattern - really interesting to do. I'm glad you like my posh new bag! I am thrilled with it. I am going to do the same as you with the pencil case and make a bit more room underneath for bits and bobs.
ReplyDeleteI went to the breast clinic on Thursday to hear the result of the biopsy and I'm afraid the news isn't good - it is cancer. All news on my blog.
Happy belated WOYWW,
