Firstly here’s my desk:
I’ve been adding shadows to my glass-distorted postcard watercolour. It’s better than my first attempt but it’s still a bit wobbly.
I’ve put crochet on hold for now and am back knitting as B’s chosen a ribbed slipover. Bella’s doing a spot inspection here 😻. She sends you all purrs. And warns you to stay clear of any rogue tape measures.😹
This Wednesday we’re starting a stormy seascape watercolour, using soft pastels as foam apparently and torn/reglued stripes of paper to add texture. I’ve found a few images:
I’m not sure yet which will be suitable but I love the colours of the last one.
Folkestone book festival has been interesting. On Sunday we saw Jay Rayner. He was there on time despite two train routes cancelling all trains due to storm damage - he then hired a car and got to Folkestone on time. Very resourceful and an entertaining speaker.
