WOYWW Crochet, watercolour and glue.

Hi all, I’m back for our weekly bloghop care of Sarah’s craft shed
I’m going to watercolour class (wearing a mask) so I’ve had some catching up to do.
I’ve finished my spring flowers:
The masking fluid text could have come out better but I’ve improved my painting of jars and flowers.

And I’ve started my old window collage. Not much to see yet.

The instruction was to paste tissue snd newspaper randomly. I’ll find out more tomorrow.

I’ve also been asked by my Handmade for Dementia group to share how I make my rabbit twiddle. I’ve not written a pattern before, (and as a lefty a video might be confusing). I wonder if any of you might try it and let me know any glitches, please? Thanks so much.

I’ve nearly finished my goddaughter’s cardigan, and Bella’s working hard at supervising me as I alternate front post and back post trebles for the rib. She sends you all purrs.

And finally…
Since Monty Python and the Holy Grail is 50 years old:
We used to have the French insults on the uni newspaper answering machine: ‘ I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smells of elderberries. I wave my private parts at your aunties ‘
We thought it was so cool 😎😹

I’ll be round to visit after my art class. Please don’t post anonymously as I’m not comfortable publishing them.
Happy WOYWW

WOYWW 829 Crochet and watercolour

Hi all, I’m back for our weekly bloghop courtesy of Sarah’s Craftshed
I’ve finished my steroids and just have to regain natural energy and resistance to infection.  I’m not going back to my watercolour class tomorrow, as I’ve zero resistance to infection at the mo’. I can carry on with my daffodil jar for now
Next I think we’re doing old window collages.
Or this

Bella has kindly modelled my goddaughter’s circular cardi and sends you all purrs. It’s not far off complete!
I’m also collecting material to crochet this baby book for my cousins’ and goddaughter’s babies.
And finally…

I’ll be round to visit tomorrow. Just a reminder, please, to sign any comment. I’m not comfortable with publishing totally anonymous ones.
Take care and happy WOYWW

WOYWW 828 Crochet

Hi all,
I’m back for our weekly bloghop courtesy of Sarah’s Craftshed. Thanks for all your good wishes.
Still a slow road to recovery but at least I avoided a hospital stay this time.
No energy for watercolour or sketching yet (the respiratory steroids really knock me out) but my crochet hand still works.
I’ve made a twiddle lap blanket for my aunt:
There are peonies which my grandfather used to grow, a cheeky dog on the left, a cat on the right and the teddy she bought me for my first Xmas in the middle.
I’m sending some cannula sleeves to the hospice as well.
I’m also working on my  goddaughter's round cardigan.
All under Bella’s expert supervision, of course.
She was looking especially cute this morning:
And finally,

I love this one, and my arms automatically go to and fro like the Wooden Tops…

Take care all and happy WOYWW

WOYWW 827 Crochet

Hi all, I’m back for our weekly blog hop care of Sarahscraftshed   Thanks for your good wishes last week.  My lungs are improving but I’m now in the doldrums that reducing respiratory steroids dumps me in. Hey ho! It’s been 2 years since I had one and at least I avoided hospital this time.
I’ve two crochet projects on the go, a circle cardigan for my goddaughter and another pink and gold cardi for her elder daughter, supervised closely by Bella, who sends you all purrs.
I started doing this one with random colour changes but it was too messy. This shows the pattern, which is literally a big circle.

V. really loved the little waistcoat with a gold pattern on the pocket so I’ll add similar extras to this long sleeved cardi. .
And finally…..

Take care all, and happy WOYWW,

WOYWW 826 Twiddles and coughing

Hi all, not much to show this week as I’m still suffering with my chest infection, so I haven’t been to art class. I was trying to rush through it and reducing the hated steroids too quickly, but I saw a doctor yesterday and I’m resting and taking it steady now.
I’ve been making and packing up twiddles to other members of the Facebook Handmade for Dementia group to make cannula sleeves.

Under Bella’s supervision of course.
I bought this yarn mainly to make cardigans for my godgrandaughter, of which I’ve made one. Now I’ve unearthed the notebook where I noted her measurements, I’ll be getting on with the second one. Still, it makes pretty flowers, too.

I might make a flower brooch to go with her cardi. She loved the gold accents in her first cardi so I guess I’d better add some to that, too. It’s much more of a feminine shade than I’d do for myself but Mademoiselle specified pink and gold. 😻💖

And finally…
There was a good crop of April fools yesterday morning:
The first one is very close to home:

This is the funicular railway at Folkestone which is being refurbished, but not quite this much!
This just about sums up my yarn stash!

I hope you’re all keeping well and enjoy the sunshine.
