WOYWW Crochet, watercolour and glue.

Hi all, I’m back for our weekly bloghop care of Sarah’s craft shed
I’m going to watercolour class (wearing a mask) so I’ve had some catching up to do.
I’ve finished my spring flowers:
The masking fluid text could have come out better but I’ve improved my painting of jars and flowers.

And I’ve started my old window collage. Not much to see yet.

The instruction was to paste tissue snd newspaper randomly. I’ll find out more tomorrow.

I’ve also been asked by my Handmade for Dementia group to share how I make my rabbit twiddle. I’ve not written a pattern before, (and as a lefty a video might be confusing). I wonder if any of you might try it and let me know any glitches, please? Thanks so much.

I’ve nearly finished my goddaughter’s cardigan, and Bella’s working hard at supervising me as I alternate front post and back post trebles for the rib. She sends you all purrs.

And finally…
Since Monty Python and the Holy Grail is 50 years old:
We used to have the French insults on the uni newspaper answering machine: ‘ I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smells of elderberries. I wave my private parts at your aunties ‘
We thought it was so cool 😎😹

I’ll be round to visit after my art class. Please don’t post anonymously as I’m not comfortable publishing them.
Happy WOYWW
hugs

I'll give the crochet a try - my attempt might look more like an elephant though!🤣 I'm glad you are able to get to your watercolour class. Your spring flowers pic is lovely. x x Jo 🌈

If it were knitted I might give it a go - crochet is not my main craft so I might pass it on to my friend. She is very good at it. I'll see her today so will let you know. Bella looks sweet - poor Poppy on a longer, stronger antibiotic. If this doesn't clear her infection she's off to a specialist. Poor kitty.
Off to knitting but Happy WOYWW!

I hope you enjoy your watercolour class, be good to get back to it! It’ll be interesting to see how your collage turns out, hope you have fun doing it. I’m rubbish at reading crochet patterns so will leave it to the experts (as mentioned above!) writing patterns/tutorials is tricky, all those little things you just take for granted can’t be omitted!
Loved the funnies today.

Super watercolour flowers. Think I'd probably cheat with the white writing and use a fine posca pen over the paint! It's been my saving grace when I forget to leave white bits. I think the tissue and newspaper will give the painting texture both physically aswell as the print too. I use it alot in my pages. Love the bunny - would try it but the carpal tunnel has returned all too soon so a no no for me again. Hugs Bj#7

From Julia
Nearly spat my drink out at the last funny, and I love the one about the writers too! Loving the change of stitch on the cardi, nearly there now. Also liked your idea that need ing to be quiet for a Bart got the cutting done....certainly it made me more productive because there was no wandering around and being aimless!

Hi, Lynne! You are quite busy and productive. The watercolor class sounds fun. I am learning via YouTube so the jury is still out. Thanks for the masking fluid reminder. I forget . I also loved your funnies. Happy Wednesday, Kathryn #16

Hello Lynne, I love your finished flowers in a pot. It's so much better than anything I could do. I had a quick read of your crochet instruction and understood them all but I've not had time to give it a go yet. I'll let you know if I do. Hope you've had feedback from others. Enjoyed your funnies, particularly the last two. Have a great weekend and enjoy International Scrapbooking Day tomorrow! Elizabeth x #14

ooh love your painting, and I think the masking is good, I know what you mean, I struggle to use the fluid without it spreading a bit but I can read its Hellmans and 2.95 :-) Monty Python is 50?? Oh I LOVED this as a kid, my parents would let us watch it and then we had to go straight to bed....often still giggling!
