I’ve cracked the spiral chicken I think. It’s less than 2 inches in height. I’ve used dc crochet in the back loop for the spiral and have tried to give him a bit of a rooster tail.
I can show you my beaded bird as well now, since Jan’s received hers. It closes for storage with a press stud.
This is the back with a removable pincushion (press stud):And this is the front with a scissors pocket, a central pocket and, on the right, a magnet needle minder and a book format needle case.
It was a bought pattern from the Wishing Shed on Etsy. The creator has struggled with people copying her pattern and Luna crow patternselling it for twice the price. Her pattern is here:
The instructions and templates are beautifully clear.
I’m still at odds with my laptop although the dishwasher has been put back on its wheels, yay!
Bella isn’t keen on me beading as I need a tray on my lap.
She’s found another way of supervising me, from the back of my chair.
And finally:
I’ve a hospital appointment so may be round later.
Happy WOYWW

Oh my but every comment is a struggle today! The internet just will not cooperate - I wonder if it is to do with the construction I can see from my office window? Grrr. Love Bella and her new pearch - Poppy is the same, bt at night, over my head LL! I saw the bird at LLJs and it is truly special. What a lovely gift. Like you I am off to an appt but for Darling Daughter - at nearly 30 she has her first hint of a cavity. Ugh. I am dreading her freak out but hey ho. Glad you are feeling brighter and Happy on-time WOYWW!

It’s a beautiful gift, thank you so much…it’ll be so useful too! Lovely to hear about the pattern as well though I do feel for Luna Crow, it’s awful when patterns are copied like that.
I’m glad you’re feeling better and hope that your stamina will return, your whole system has been affected hasn’t it? Big hugs to you my lovely friend 🥰🥰
The Narnia funny made me laugh out loud!
Hugs and Happy Easter!

Oh the lion joke had me chuckling and thanks for the bird photos. Saw it first on Jan's post and was curious how it folded up and you answered my curiosity, love it. Hugs Bj#6

Hi Lynne, thanks for your earlier visit. I love the bird so clever! I was checking out my sewing box the other day and found some press studs. When was the last time I used a press stud!! The funnies are great - sure I've actually done the hoodie one at some point. Glad to hear your face is improving. Have a good week, love n hugs Cindyxx #9
Your gift for Jan is a delight. Well done on all that craftiness. I laughed out loud at the thought of us keeping alpacas. No it's just a bag of lovely boucle yarn that I got on special offer and really is lovely for felting etc x x Jo 🌈
I love your birds they are both useful and beautiful. I clicked on the link for the pattern but nothing there. I don't think the link is working. Love your little chicken too. Hope the hospital appointment goes okay. Wishing you a very happy woyww with hugs Angela x5x
Loved the lion funny, specially because I watched the film on Saturday. Such a great film. Loved the crow too, I went to the site and her felt creations are gorgeous! Thought the bird a lovely project fo decorating. Happy Easter Angela x
Happy Belated WOYWW. Amazing gift for Jan. You are so clever. Chuckled at your 'funnies' this week. We might be adopting a pair of elderly cats (their owner has died and the family can't/won't take them on). We both miss being pinned to the sofa by a cat !! Happy Easter. Ali x #11
I love Luna the Crow - I am going to nip over to Etsy to find the Wishing Shed!
Happy Easter and Happy WOYWW! Susan #10
Sorry for the generic comment, but I wanted to at least show my face before the next WOYWW comes around. Happy belated WOYWW. Healing hugs. Sarah
