WOYWW 597: vineyard scarf

Hi, I’m back for our weekly share of our workspaces, as hosted by Julia on The Stamping Ground. This is a short post, to get me back into things.
Thea is modelling my workspace again.

The downside of using elements of self-striping yarn for my leaves, is that I’m left with lots of little balls of the other shades.

The never-ending vineyard scarf is even longer now. Several folk have said it should be an art piece on a wall, but it’s destined to be a present.

Family
It’s been a heartbreaking week. Dino got much worse, couldn’t breathe outside an oxygen tent, and so we had to agree to let him go. He was such a lovely cat.

Thea is much missing her brother as well and as we have lots of cuddles.
B finally had his first cataract op, which has so far gone ok. We’ll have to wait and see if the 2nd one goes ahead ok, or is re-scheduled due to the lockdown.

Take care, stay safe and happy WOYWW
Hugs Lynnecrafts

So sorry to hear about Dino - I think I saw this earlier on FB. Am sure Thea will be ok - next door had a sister and brother cat and when Max went I expected Pepsi to follow but she hung on a while despite her being the frailer of the two.
Love the scarf - what a lucky recipient. You make such lovely gifts - I still remember the gift you made for LLJ - it was so beautiful.
Take care, hope the cataract op goes ahead when it is time.

I’m really sorry about Dino, they leave such a hole in our lives when they’ve gone - poor Thea, she must feel very odd without her brother around. The scarf is looking lovely, a proper work of art. Maybe you could use the little balls of yarn to make more leaves and make a little garland to string up somewhere in the house?
Greta news about B, got everything crossed that all goes well for the 2nd op xxxx

Lynne i'm really sorry to read about Dino, our fur babies are so much part of our lives but we never want them to suffer. I hope Thea gives you extra cuddles during these sad times, she'll be needing them as much as you. I hope the growing scarf will take your mind off things for at least a little while. Take care Tracey #8

That's a gorgeous scarf. Sorry to hear about Dino. In our life time we are likely to have quite a few fur friends and we have to accept that they will not always be with us but if we give them a good life while they are here at least we know they will have been happy during their short life. Wishing you a lovely creative week and a happy woyww, Angela x15x

Oh Lynne...... I am so, so sorry to hear about poor Dino! When you sent meows to our kitties from only Thea, I wondered why. It's so sad. I know he'd been suffering with his breathing for a while. It's terribly sad when you see the other one grieving too, isn't it. Please give Thea a big cuddle from her auntie Shoshi and Lily and Ruby send comforting purrs.

I am glad B's first cataract has been done successfully, and hope the lockdown doesn't delay the second one. I can't see mine happening for years after what the optician said!

Your vineyard scarf is fabulous, and growing each week! It will make a fantastic gift for someone. Once it's done, I expect you will return to the Persian tiles? I am keen to get started on mine, once the tiny carpets are finished.

Thank you for your visit and your lovely comment, and especially for your kind words about my brother-in-law. I'm really going to miss him - he was a very special man. I am so pleased you'd like to be included in the giveaway. Funny that Dino was a computer whizz too! Beatrice was brilliant at it! I'm glad I saved the screen shots of her efforts because they always make me smile, and remind me of what a special kitty she was!

Happy WOYWW,
Shoshi x #23

Oh no - I'm so sorry about Dino, how sad. Thea will be missing him for awhile I think. Inky and Mittsy send their regards as well. :-( Your scarf looks fab, and yes it does look good as a wall hanging, or perhaps a table runner even. Best of luck with the cataract surgeries, have a good week (if you can) and stay safe...Lindart #31

Sorry I’m late. Start with the good news, glad to hear that B’s first op has gone well, I hope he erm, sees the difference nice and quickly! The scarf is wonderful, I think all the left over bits mean that you probably are destined to make another! I’m so sorry about Dino, I expect you and Thea feel exactly the same at the mo.
