Back for our first blog hop via Julia’s Stamping Ground of the new year. I hope you’ve all had a good break and wish you all the best for the new year.
We had a quiet time with Bella and Gracie.
I’ve made some progress with B’s birthday present. I’ve sewn on the leaves
I have to do the rib for the armholes- it takes ages and I tend to tense up and end up with a bad shoulder. I’m experimenting with a yarn guide ring. I think it’s helping but who knows?
This is it.
I’m taking the Xmas decorations down today so I’ll then be able to show you my new desk with the crochet hook organiser, I hope!

Gracie and Bella send purrs to you all and especially to your cats.
And finally …
Take care and happy WOYWW

Happy New Year my lovely friend, wishing you health and happiness xx B’s slipcover is looking great, hope the ribbing turns out well - doing button bands and armholes was my bete noire when I did make garments. The fabric scissors funny is a fav of mine and my menfolk know that they touch mine at their peril, lol!!

Me again! Just seen your comment on my blog re University Challenge, we saw that too! And said blimey, it was just as well we cancelled before paying out the full amount, it would have been a very different holiday eh??
Happy New Year to you - welcoming it with two cats around sounds like the best start! I've never seen a yarn-ring, looks like an amazing help-tool, I hope it works for you! Hug from Holland, Marit #11
Such fun with your project. Hugs to the Kitties, and Wishing you and yours the Best for 2023
I can relate to the lady and the fabric scissors Lol! My hubby wouldn't dare even look at mine Hee! Hee! The knitting is really coming on and looks gorgeous. Have a lovely New Year woyww. Hugs Angela x10x
The project is amazing! I look forward to seeing it finished. Those kitties are gorgeous... give them a stroke from me! Happy New Year and Happy WOYWW. Love & God Bless, Caro xx (#15)
I love the look of the yarn guide ring, think that might be a very clever idea. Can’t suggest anything that would help with the tensing…except to perhaps avoid the need for armhole rib, which at this point of course, is quite a ridiculous thing to say! Just do little bits at a time, no long haul tensing! A very happy New Year to you both and the kitty gals xx
the knitting is coming along well, I look forward to seeing the finished piece, but mind your shoulder! Happy WOYWW and thanks for visiting. Helen #2
Great funnies, but the top one is brilliant. My husband will just grab any scissors - have to keep my eye on mine 🤣 Happy WOYWW. #19 Angela
Never heard of a yarn ring, but then I am not a knitter. Looks intriguing. Great funny, I am very precious about my scissors as well, the good ones are not out on display!! Your kitties are adorable. Some days I do miss rubs and cuddles (esp when I see cute pics) but no more pets for me. Happy New Year, have a good week, love n hugs Cindy xx #11
Ooh, always can count on you to do some fabulous knitting (or crochet). Looking forward to seeing the finished piece.
happy New Year to you and yours and to the puddy tats.
Hugs, Neet 3 xx
Lovely crochet! And cats, of course :D I am working on a knitted jumper that I swear is cursed. Made errors all along the way but I am determined to finish it!
HAPPY NEW YEAR and (late) HAPPY WOYWW! May it be a great one for us all.
