WOYWW 814 A new year

Hi all,
I hope the new year sees you happy and well. Here’s my desk, where I’m working on my colours notebook, so I can see what shades I have in every medium. I’ve yet to do the watercolour pencils and Inktense. The circles are samples of A. Gallo’s new iridescent colours, which I’m hoping to use on a new project, an insect in flight. I’ve chosen to do a dragonfly. I’m scheduling this post as I’ll be at art class on Wednesday morning.
Collecting and curating art supplies is as much of a hobby as painting, I think!
My Twixmas project was a crocheted waistcoat US=vest)  for me using Hobbii winter glow. I’m not sure about the way the collar lies but I’m pleased with the colour and the big pockets.  I might add some triangles in yarn to the back of the collar.

Bella sends you all purrs. This photo of her was lucky 😻
She’s less happy about the builders working outside. Our porch has a new roof and they’re doing some drainpipe and pointing, too. She’ll at least be pleased to have a porch roof that doesn’t leak again.

And finally…

Happy WOYWW, hugs
Lynnecrafts xx

Waistcoat looks fab and I do love that cheery yarn. You must be out of it by now! Bet those new colours will be fab on a dragonfly so get cracking - I want to see it! Purrs from Poppy to Bella and the funnies always provide a nice morning smile. Much needed in this cold and dismal time of year.

Love the colours of the new waistcoat and it looks great on you! I agree with your thoughts on craft stash, it’s just as pleasing to organise it as it is to use it! Those new iridescent paints sound rather fabulous, we may need to see a close up of those. The Hybrid cat funny made me laugh out loud, brilliant!!

Lovely waistcoat, it looks good on you, and I love the yarn, what pretty colours. The paints looks so tempting - there are few things nicer than new paints and making a paint card - I agree, it's a hobby in itself! Hope you have a good week and stay warm and cosy.

Love the colours of your new waistcoat and I have to agree with you that collecting stash is a hobby in itself...and one I admit to.

I agree, curating supplies is rather a lovely thing to do, it sort of has that 'mine all mine' vine, especially when it's the gorgeous stuff like your paints. Must say you do have a beautifully considered collection!

That was my comment, I forgot to not be anonymous! And I was distracted by needing to comment about the paints, so I pressed Publish before wishing you a happy New Year! Xx

Oh what a delight to find lots of comments when I woke up again this morning. WOYWW is certainly my "constant" at the moment and I thank all you lovely ladies for being there for me, I am blessed.
No I don't take any vitamins or supplements at all, in fact you'd be hard pushed to get me to take any medications either, it's an OCD thing, so end of story. I do have my SAD light on and eat lots of fresh fruit and veg, nuts and seeds which ought to contain what my body needs.
Ohhh your paints look lovely. I have put a set of Wilson and Newton tube watercolours on my birthday list for next month with a pack of half pan containers. Don't really want to have a bigger paint tray/container but it looks like I could fit another 15 in my current one using the brush space & lid and the set has mostly different hues than my current "Creative Peak" set so that will be good. I am so loving my water colouring journey in my Bible. Super colourful waistcoat, nice and cosy for this cold weather. Think my menopause hot flushes are wearing off as I dug out a jumper yesterday!!! Shock Horror! Hugs BJ#3
