WOYWW 645 Squares and cats

Hi again, here’s my contribution to our weekly blog hop. I’ve done enough squares for the other side of the front of my cardi now, and am starting the back.

I’ve introduced some pale green squares as well. I’m not sure whether they go with the rest. What do you think?

My nostepinne gets lots of use with this yarn. I like to have small balls when I’m changing colours. Here’s Bella supervising.

The autumn rain seems to have stopped for now and I had a good walk along the seafront to Hythe. I went along Princes Parade and tried just to enjoy it, watching the fishing competition. Our stupid council is closing access to  it soon to build houses on the road with exclusive beach frontage  ðŸ¤¬. Numerous appeals and judicial reviews have failed. There’s another public inquiry next week. If it fails we’ll no longer have access along this road. By the way, if they build that close to the beach, they’ll all get free pebbledashing in the winter.

The end of my walk was along the Royal Military Canal.
The cats are seriously into winter hibernation mode now.

And finally….
My respiratory consultant couldn’t give any predictions other than saying I should be very cautious about anything indoors so crazy cat woman is my destiny, Julia!

Still, I can exercise outside. A good job we’ve no bears 😀

Happy crafting!
Hugs

Ha crazy cat lady, not sure your two cuties cast you as crazy Lynne, they are pretty cats, I’m a tabby cat lover, a sour Snooksy was one.
Love the knitting… and pray you keep access to your beach front walks in next week appeal, surely closeness is dangerous too… potentially.
Thanks for Sharing, God bless and keep you safe, and all those you love, prayer hugs Shaz in Oz.x

That is such a shame about the beach walk - I hope the public enquiry goes your way next week. I love the squares and the pale green adds to the calm colour palette. The kitties certainly look very happy and relaxed and seem to be loving the idea of snuggling up indoors for the winter.
Hope you have a good week, stay safe and well.

Happy WOYWW. I personally wouldn't want a house with beach access, as sea levels rise and more winter storms are happening. Shame that you are losing public access to such a beautiful walk. When we ever look at possible houses to move to (one day I will get my smaller bungalow!), I always check that there is no risk of flooding etc. Milky the Cat is still busy hunting most days, as we have had some sunshine. She mainly keeps to the garden now though. Ali x #14

Love the canal walk you did but shame about the beach. Why is it that there is one thing for them and another for us. We are not allowed to take down any trees in our garden (protection orders) yet they can chop them down as and when they want.
I thought of you the other day when I saw a beautiful cardigan/jacket that was advertised in something that came via the internet. I followed it thinking it would give me the pattern to pass on to you but it didn't. You would have loved it. I'd stay with the other colours but then that's me, not any idea about colour.

That’s so awful about the beach road, I really hope that the review judges see sense. I liked your comment about the houses being pebbledashed though! I’m glad you’re enjoying the walks, making the most of the lovely autumn days. The cats made me smile, they’re so gorgeous and must feel as if they’ve landed in heaven at your house, I’m so thrilled for you all, the perfect partnering. I really like that pale green, it’s a good tone to go with the blues - a keeper in my opinion!

It's crazy where the council decide to build houses. They are building some behind us but at the moment they wont actually reach us but to the side of the land is water and lots of it as this is flood plain behind us. Who ever lives there will be eaten by mosquitos! Good to see your crochet coming along and kitties look comfy too. Wishing you a lovely creative woyww with hugs, Angela x13x

Nothing wrong with crazy cat ladies Lynne. I love the colours of your cardigan as is, not sure about the addition of green. My brother has the occasional bear near his house in Canada but mostly they stay out in the woods. Meow to Bella and Gracie. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #3

lol when I grow up I want to be a crazy cat woman too! Not sure about the green square but then it's hard to judge since all screens are different. Hope they don't block access to the road for the stupid houses. Happy WOYWW! Elle #6, EOTC

It would not be nice to block access to the road but you know they build anywhere they can, , your cats really have thought about hibernating

Take care and stay safe, Lilian B #11

Lol! That cat cartoon at the end? Hysterical. But OMG - how unfair of them to make that road private. Makes me angry for you :) Love the squares, looking very pretty, and watch out for bears!

Happy WOYWW, back online :)

Your kitties are looking so fluffy, Lynne! Lovely to see their beautiful tummies. Ours are growing their winter coats now too, and Ruby especially is hungry all the time it seems!

Happy belated WOYWW,
