WOYWW 649 Playing with patterns

Hi all, I’ve played with the “Don’t fence me in” pattern from Stardust melodies this week. On the left is the original pattern but I prefer the more defined ones on the right.

I’ve done some joining up (thank you Miss Julia😏).

Bella has been keeping me company, wrapped in my cat shawl against the cold.
There has been a bit less fighting since I started showing them the pumpkin hat but I have to threaten to get out my orange wool now and again. 😻
We walked along the Military Canal, but it’s been quite cold. The weather people keep saying it’s mild - I guess I’m nesh.

And finally…

I I swapped this from dogs to cats…

I’m off to join in the blog hop at Miss Julia’s Stamping Ground
Stay safe and warm. Happy crafting!

  1. I read that thing about being treated like a dog and thought you could apply it to cats and you did! I’d quite like a belly rub now and then….. The cat funnies really do make me laugh, the old adage about cats having staff is so true :-D
Your crochet squares look great joined up together, the colours and very pleasing indeed.
The weather is odd isn’t it? I seem to peeling layers off or putting them on constantly.

  2. I think I feel the cold more than most folks too, so don't worry about it.
I am with you on the "Don't fence me in" - I prefer the one you do too, definitely more defined. It's certainly growing each week when you show us what you have been doing.

  4. Thanksfor popping over to mine earlier and for your lovely comments.
I'm sure we feel the cold more as we get older. I never look forward to the snow. I love your crochet....you seem to be making good progress.

  5. Your squares are looking fab but I think I agree with you and prefer the more defined ones. Nice to get a bit of joining up under your belt - I hate leaving it all until the end.
The funnies made me laugh, especially the difference between cats and dogs, that's so true!
    Have a great week,

  6. The funnies are funny - made me chuckle. I guess it has been rather mild lately - I stopped wearing coats even in the middle of winter because when I walk I get very hot and bothered and then I have to take my coat off - and that's exactly how you catch a chill! So I just wear woolly jumpers that let some air through to keep me cool. If I'm in the house, however, sitting at the computer, I can get chilled to the bone - that's when I need to get the hoover out! Take care, Lynne! xx zsuzsa #22

  11. Glad the kitties are getting along better. Don’t show them that last cartoon, it might give them ideas. It took a few seconds for the penny to drop with the second one :). Love the idea of your kitty wrapped in a scarf Angela #6

  12. Your squares are coming on really well, Lynne. I am glad to hear that the kitties are settling down a bit more now. Bella wrapped in the cat stitch shawl was perfect - like our two on the kitty throw! I love sitting with my legs up on the recliner and having them both on me, but I always have the blanket because their claws can be lethal. I get really toasty! This week your funnies were great, especially the first one, which I've seen before and love!

    Happy WOYWW,
