WOYWW 691 Tizzy progress

Hi I’m back for our weekly blog hop care of Julia at the Stamping Ground
Here’s the left front of my Tizzy cardigan

I’ve still to do the sleeves and pockets then I can sew it together,  do the borders and add buttons.
It’s a random pattern but since the ribs go the same way, I hope the join doesn’t look messy. I use the one where you take the loop off the hook and feed it under and through the 2nd piece.

Sorry I missed last week. I felt rotten, achy and exhausted like when I had covid. I didn’t and they’re doing tests to see what caused it, as it seems to be happening after I’ve had any chest infection.
I have an appointment this morning so I’ll do most of my commenting later.

Bella and Gracie don’t mind me sitting down a lot 😻😻

They’re pulling out all their advanced cuteness training as they compete for my lap. 😻😻

And finally…

Remember 2001?

WOYWW 689 Tizzy home

Hi all, back from my travels now. I’ll try and do more visits this week.
My Tizzy cardigan is growing. Here are the main parts for a front. I need to sew it up, add borders and a pocket.

Jan was very happy with the silk and has kept some for making mastectomy drain bags for the hospital, as well as brilliantly finding a school that wants the rest for GCSE projects.

Les Smith of https://roleswoodcraft.weebly.com/ makes very nice Nostepinnes for me. Hand-turned, but they disappear into black holes in our house. He offered me a laburnum one today which I avoid because of risk to cats. If you’re interested, contact him: email: roleswoodcraft@hotmail.com. They’re £15 inc UK P&P. He’s making an apple one for me now.

There’s a video showing how to use one here: Using a Nostepinne. Though of course you could always use it to wave at the telly (sorry Jan 🤣)
The cats were very glad to see us back. Gracie even curled  up with me on the chair, which she hadn’t done for a while. I didn’t like to move and thought I might even have to sleep there!

Bella’s always glad of a cuddle.

And finally…
Someone asked where I get them from. I follow a few pages with them on Facebook.

Take care and enjoy your crafting

WOYWW 688 Tizzy in Wales

Hi all,
We’re back in Wales again rather quicker than we expected as we’re down for the funeral of one of Brian’s cousins, David Evans. He was a wonderful watercolour artist. Here’s a picture we bought as a christening present for Jan’s youngest, many years ago. We always looked forward to his Christmas cards - always featuring one of his paintings.

We’re staying with Jan and Gordon while we’re here. It’s so lovely to see them again.
My Tizzy is growing; here’s a square in progress for the front, with the knitting bag Jan made me.
We brought the silk with us as well as Jan has ideas and contacts aplenty to use it up.

Bella and Gracie are being looked after by their Aunty Liz.
And finally…

Take care and happy crafting

WOYWW 687 Tizzy and campaigning

Hi all, I’m back again for our Wednesday blog hop. Above is the triangle I’ve done for the first v neck front of my cardigan.
Sorry I’ve not commented much; with another engineer I’ve written a report on non disruptive options for the works and the risks to the community the developer and Kent County Council should have considered instead of trying for a 6 week closure of our road. We sent it off to them yesterday and we expect them to demonstrate the option they choose against our report.
Gracie and Bella are very pleased when I take the black thing off my lap. They send purrs to you all.

And finally…

Take care and happy crafting!
