WOYWW 857 Charcoal, music and crochet.

Hi all, I’m back for our weekly bloghop care of Sarah’s Craftshed. Firstly, our thoughts are with Neet and hoping she feels better.
My desk this week shows my new project, autumn vegetables.

So far, I’ve been doing the charcoal drawing of my red onion, brown onion and bulb of purple garlic.  I’ve printed a mono photo to help with the different values. We’re adding watercolours this week.
Here are 2 collages of our class’s fungi from last week. You can see the quality of their paintings, so you’ll understand if I judge myself harshly.

We very much enjoyed the Tallis Singers’ concert on Saturday, and the setting in Canterbury cathedral was superb.  They sang acapella Renaissance sacred music by Tallis, Gibbons et al, from the 16th and 17th centuries.
I also loved C4’s the Game of Wool on Sunday, though I thought a different contestant should have gone out. Next week they’re making dog coats so I asked Bella if she’d like a coat and hat but she wasn’t impressed.
She prefers to wear just her own coat, thank you, even when supervising my crochet! She sends you all purrs.
This is what she looks like when I wake her so I can go to bed. Super cuteness to try to persuade me not to disturb her. 😻

I’ve made 9 of 12 strips of my blanket.

And finally,
I can understand how this elephant felt as I’ve been to the physio, who uses acupuncture as well as massage on my back.

I’ll be round to visit after art class,
Hugs
