I’m enjoying my Step 2 it crochet along from Polly Plum and am liking my yarn better.
Thanks all of you for your suggestions for using my sashiko panel. I’ve thought of turning my sashiko into a cushion and have another panel for Monet’s waterlillies. They’ll make a nice pair.
I was so pleased, the first time I went to Giverny, to see how Monet loved paintings/ woodcut prints by Hiroshige and Hokusai, my favourite artists.
This tutorial on sashiko is helpful for keeping my tension straight and for starting/finishing without knots.

Apparently my hue is bluer than 97% of the population but turquoise is still green - didn't quite get that Lynne. Love the idea for your second Sashiko cushion. Hope they get to the bottom of your migraines. Enjoy art class. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah
I liked the Python Beatles, lol!! Beautiful study of the apple, I liked seeing all your paint samples and notes, was interesting! Beautiful shot of the canal too, we’ve had a couple of lush days as well after a very indifferent summer. Filled the new car up for free on Saturday, woohoo!!

Another busy week, I hate migraines though I don't have them too often they are awful when you get them. Love the watercolour paintings gorgeous. Love your Polly Plum crochet and your sheet of apples is fantastic. I hope you have a folder to put these sheets in to record all your experiments. I think I would have used a journal to do these exercises in.

Well that little test was interesting, I did it three times, two blues and a green! Two at 173 and one at 175. I do love the colour turquoise, though none of those colours were what I think of as turquoise! Fabulous crochet work. Happy WOYWW. Angela #14
This was my result… Your boundary is at hue 173, greener than 57% of the population. For you, turquoise is blue..it’s funny how we all see things differently. I love your crochet and your watercolour is fab.

Your apple study looks very interesting and love the water colourings. My hue came out at 82% with turquoise being green. Thanks for the link. I really like your idea for the second cushion and hope all goes well at the neurologist. Migraines are awful. - happy WOYWW - Michelle #15 x
Oh I just had to try out the turquoise thing, I'm a green turquoise person (Your boundary is at hue 180, bluer than 85% of the population. For you, turquoise is green.) Loving the apple study in watercolour. As I said last week I love the stripy yarn colours. Hugs BJ#12

I love the apple painting. I would like to have some talent for painting but it just isn't so. I tried the blue/green test with the result of boundary hue at 180, bluer than 85% and rather puzzlingly turquoise is green. Silver sends purrs to Bella. Elizabeth x #18
