WOYWW 887 More owlish embroidery

Hi all, I’m back for our weekly blog circle care of Sarah’s Craftshed.
My desk is my lap again this week

I’m making more keepsake owls from the pattern by the Wishing Shed. This one is for a friend who has a dachshund.
I’m also doing one for a Ukrainian friend, but haven’t got further than the wing decorations yet. The one on the right is a national symbol, a trident often shown as a sort of art deco bird carrying an olive branch.

Bella works so hard, supervising me, sometimes she has take a little nap 😼. She sends purrs to you all.
We’ve an exciting weekend coming up, a party at Franc’s restaurant in Canterbury on Friday for my birthday, then on Sunday we’re going to Amberlea Japanese Tea house for a meal. Brian somehow found it online - he’s always been an excellent at finding interesting days out.
And finally …

Happy WOYWW

LOL! The funnies you find always make me laugh. The owls are cool - stitching may have outpaced papercraft on WOYWW this week, at least so far! Enjoy your day out and purrs to Bell from Poppy

The embroideries are really great Lynne, I’m glad you’re enjoying making them so much! They’re a nice small project to do when the weather’s been so warm as well, I’ve shied away from the crochet blanket and have been knitting baby hats for Glangwili hospital, a lot cooler!
Hope you have a wonderful birthday, the treats planned sound brilliant. Well done Bri for finding the Japanese tea rooms, a proper birthday treat!
Hugs LLJ 2 xx

Me again, just read your comment on my post. It’s Burry Port East Beach in the photo, you can just see a very tiny lighthouse to the left. We walk through the woodlands and then back up the beach, it’s beautiful. The beach used to be really rocky but the sand has built up over the years and it’s a cracker now xx

I think these owls are becoming an obsession! but I love them and I know whoever receives them will too. Purrs to Bella. I could tell you some stories about dogs eating children's homework but it would take too long! Have a lovely woyww, hugs Angela x10x

Your owl is looking wonderful. Neat sewing has never been one of my skills. You motivated me to find out more about my dinosaur. It is a Parasaurolophus and was about 7.5 metres in length and had a sound like a foghorn! You wouldn’t think they could find out that information, but it is something to do with the bone cavity on the top of the head. My face pain is still there, but I have been taking less and less medication for it as it is down to an ache now. I always where a head scarf, even if sitting in the garden, if there is the slightest breeze. Hugs Angela
