I’ve been making and packing up twiddles to other members of the Facebook Handmade for Dementia group to make cannula sleeves.
Under Bella’s supervision of course.
This is the funicular railway at Folkestone which is being refurbished, but not quite this much!
Under Bella’s supervision of course.
I bought this yarn mainly to make cardigans for my godgrandaughter, of which I’ve made one. Now I’ve unearthed the notebook where I noted her measurements, I’ll be getting on with the second one. Still, it makes pretty flowers, too.
I might make a flower brooch to go with her cardi. She loved the gold accents in her first cardi so I guess I’d better add some to that, too. It’s much more of a feminine shade than I’d do for myself but Mademoiselle specified pink and gold. 😻💖
And finally…
There was a good crop of April fools yesterday morning:
The first one is very close to home:

Hope you feel better soon, there seem to be a lot of deskers suffering with bugs and things. The card for your godgranddaughter is such pretty colour, she is bound to love it. Happy crafting! Helen #'1
Loved the RH &D April Fool, lol! You’ve done a great job making all those small embellishments, perfect for not being too big a job when you’re feeling rough and great for the other folks to use on the cannulas. That cardi is a pretty colour, she’ll love it! No, I’ve not succumbed to the Highland Cow fabric, I’ve got enough stash to be going on with!

It sounds like we have both been suffering...We don't recover as quickly as we get older do we? I can sleep for England at the mo...guess my body is telling me what it needs to recover.

Oh sorry you are still not feeling top notch. I had to laugh - many a day spent at the RH&D railway as Dear son was Thomas mad as a kiddo. I've forgotten to google Twiddles cause it seems like something I could easily do with all my scrap yarn :) Funny, I was forever starting projects to kids measurements but they always grew before I finished :D Now I am much faster, but they are all grown and so much bigger now... {sigh}
No knitting today, Poppy is not very well

As I didn't get around everyone last week I thought I would try and be early this - it may just be your Wednesday still but it is already my Thursday morning! Do hope you will be feeling better soon... I loved all the April Fool's funnies - I think we only saw the Guardian cryptic crossword which drove us demented! Happy WOYWW! Susan #15
Your April Fool Funnies cheered me up no end - thanks !
I do like the colour of the yarn you are using and am sure it will be well received, especially if you do a little flower. All girls love a flower.
Sorry to hear about the chest infection still hanging around.
Hugs, Neet xx
