WOYWW 766

Gracie died on Saturday. We are heartbroken.
I write about her here: https://lynnecrafts.blogspot.com/2024/02/gracie.html

Here’s my still life from last week’s art class. The pomegranate was from last autumn so I’d better retire it now.
This week we will start a landscape but, as some people only joined this term, a lot of the class will be taken up with sizing up from a photo. The painting will only be done after half-term.

I got a long way up the latest jumper when I realised I hadn’t kept the left edge straight and it had become way too big. So this:
Became this. This wool is a bastard to frog but I managed, in two days:
With Bella’s help. She sends purrs to you all. She doesn’t seem confused by Gracie being gone.

And finally,
Take care and happy WOYWW
Hugs

  2. Lynne, still feeling so sad for you and now all over again for poor Bella. They must struggle to understand more than we ever can why a constant companion is gone. Just a sad WOYWW day all round this week and even the funnies don't cause much of a smile. Give her a cuddle from me.
It's WOYWW day and I'm determined to be on time

  3. As you know I was sorry to hear about Gracie but today my heart lifts a little as the news is good re Bella not being there.
Love your latest crocheting but sorry the edge was not straight for you - what is frogging?
The still life is impressive and you can tell the pomegranate is old and I imagine, leathery. What is the fruit in the foreground?
Good luck with the next step, I hope half term is more or less now and you don't have to wait too long.
Will persevere and try to get my tension better, it's when I set off it's dodgy. I think I will try the square soon.

  4. We were so sorry to hear about Gracie, she had a fab life with you, it could have been very different if you hadn’t met in the cat rescue. Glad Bella is ok, I know you and Bri aren’t so am sending hugs. Chanah Malka (no 8 on list) has a beautiful poem about a cat at the end of her blog, I think you’d like it. You did well persevering with that frogging, more patience than I have!

  9. Aw, it's really hard. Am glad that Bella isn't pining, that would just compound your heartbreak. You gave a Gracie a fab life of luxury after you found her, take heart from her happiness. Xx
