Giverny, Amboise and Guédelon

Monet's house and garden in Giverny

The famous bridge hidden in foliage and full of people

Silly pompom headed chickens

His walls were full of Hokusais and Hiroshiges

This was the beautiful garden of Clos des Artistes, a lovely B&B with its own beautiful gardem

The old Hotel Baudy where Monet and co drank, I wonder if the name has any link with 'bawdy' in English? ;-)

These are from the Impressionists by theSea exhibition in Giverny museum

Guédelon fortress

They had us trying to build a model of a vaulted arch - it's not easy!

Clos Lucé Amboise

Leonardo's garden at Clos Lucé

Leonardo used sprinklers, pipes and Archimedes screw tools to make a mist over the lake - very atmospheric
