WOYWW 698 Buttons and borders

Hi all, I’m back for our Wednesday blog hop care of Miss Julia at the Stamping Ground. Amazing to think we’ll be at 700 weeks in a fortnight!
This week’s activity has a ‘B’ theme:
- Buttons
- Borders
- Beans

I bought these buttons online but am not sure about them - are they too dark green? They’re supposed to be blue and green.
I go round and round on my border and collar, with Gracie and Bella supervising. I think they like my warm cardigan.

We shop at farmer’s markets where we can. There’s a greengrocer at Folkestone West station on a Saturday morning that has very keen prices. Even after giving a bagful to our next door neighbour, I had this many to top and tail. The whole box of beans cost £1.50..

There’s a farmers market in Hythe every fortnight with a French cheese stall (great St. Marcellin, Bleu des Causses and fromage blanc) and this Sunday we’ll also have the first monthly Farmers and Artisan market in our village. I do like a good market!
And finally…

  1. I really like the buttons Lynne. Had to laugh at the cat book club. Enjoy the new market this weekend. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3

  2. Hellooo Lynne 💕 How are you doing? I can see how much Bella and Gracie are loving and supervising the cardi making 🐱⭐️❤💕 I do love a botton ...they're very pretty though might they be a wee bit too dark for your gorgeous cardigan? Wishing you much joy at the farmers market this weekend 😋 yum yum!! Adore your funnies ... fireworks season almost here and that middle one so true for a lot of our furry and feathered friends. You be safe and take care with love and hugs Tracy #5 xxx

  3. I LOVE those buttons and think they’re perfect for Tizzy. When you’re going round and round a project like that it’s often hard to remember to stop, lol! Those beans were a bargain and the markets sounds fantastic, hope the Lyminge one takes off really well.

  4. I'm with you about the markets. Used to go regularly with Peter but no transport now so DDN has stepped up for next week . . . . sooooo excited! Absolutely fresh veg and fruit, English and local, big and tasty . . . . what is not to like!!

  5. I think the buttons are beautiful and really stand out against the brighter colours in the cardigan. Your beans were a bargain, I love a good market but we tend to use our local farm shop whenever we can. Had to laugh at the funnies, especially the book club for cats.
Hope you have a great week,

  7. Great funnies 🤣. Those buttons look perfect with your cardigan. The beans were a bargain, so Niro buy straight from the producers. Happy WOYWW. Angela #11

  8. Think the buttons will be spot on actually, and definitely better on the new cardi than in the button box languishing! I love market shopping too, but am not a cheese fan…can’t remember the last time I had any actually!

  10. I think the buttons are fine, not too dark - I guess they are for Tizzy when she is complete - which is not far away.
I love a Farmers Market as opposed to an ordinary one. Lovely local produce and lots of home made goodies. That floats my boat.
    Hugs, Neet 1 xx

  11. Love the buttons, and I think they are just right. I do love a market and wish we had a local one that was as fab as the one you describe. As a new cat-mom I appreciate the funnies more and more each week. When the cat actually arrives, we'll see if they still amuse or make me go DOH! :)
Late again, but buy buying cat toys… :D
