WOYWW 661 Crochet & chocolates

Hi again, back for our weekly crafty blog hop, shared via Julia at the Stamping Ground
Craftwise, the slipover continues to grow, slowly.

I made some more chocolates for Brian’s birthday. This time they’re almond and apricot.

I’ve also completed the first edit of my novel. The tutor at my creative writing class says it now needs putting away in a drawer for a couple of weeks before I look at it again.

The cats are in their full winter coats, very cuddly. Here’s Gracie complaining how hard life is…

And Bella, on the cat tree. 😻😻She’s discovered the ball on elastic.

And finally…

Take care and happy crafting!
Hugs

  3. You know, back in my scrapbooking days I would often make a layout, then leave it on my desk for a bit, not really stuck down in a final sort of way. I'd go off, have a cuppa, then come back. So often little tweaks became glaringly obvious even 20 minutes later! So good advice. Do let us know when the movie is coming out....

    Back on track :D

  4. Morning Lyn. The chocolate looks yummy. Well done. Enjoy. The slipover continues to grow - great. It sounds like good advice to put the novel away for a time before reading through again. Will you be able to resist opening the drawer?
    Take care. God bless.

  5. I do like the variegated colours of the slipover, it’ll be great for Brian, will suit him a lot. The chocs sound lush, that would be a very dangerous hobby for me to get into, I know for a fact. The funnies did make me laugh out loud this morning, thank you! Look forward to our chat later xxx

  7. Ooh Lynne, the chocolate sounds delicious! How lovely that you've finished your fist edit, it sounds like good advice to put your novel away for a couple of weeks - it works for me with paintings. I love the funnies at the end, the penguins made me hoot!
Hope you have a great week,

  8. Good idea to put the novel away and reach out again in a couple of weeks. Will you do it?
My mum used to make the most delicious chocolate fudge, not like the fudge we buy - delicious stuff - why did I never get the recipe? I long for chocolate right now.

  9. Oh what cute photos ! Gracie and Bella are just adorable too. Oh I haven't had homemade fudge in years. Looks delicious. And I love chocolate. I got out some crochet materials, might try a few hearts to attach to my cards. It's been a while. I also might use a few wood pieces with inks. Have a great week Thanks for the visit

  12. Thank you so much for the chocolate it's lovely, not surprised you enjoy making it. Well done at completing the novel. Loving the funnies but a bit worried about the kitty and the red button! Have a lovely relaxing WOYWW, Angela x15x

  13. Top advice from your book writer club person, you need to disassociate a little before you approach to edit or you won’t be able to see what needs editing! Not sure I could edit my own stuff, I’d be too attached! Mind you, I’m a dab hand at typing a blog post and editing that with a delete button….too opinionated, too bossy, too political, too everything!! Love the sound of the chocolate with the added fruit, it would be a danger to set that box next to my favourite chair, very definitely a birthday treat! The funnies made me snort….I think the red button one is possibly a teeny bit possible!

  14. ohhhhh the funnies made me laugh...might pitch one or two! Hubby used to make lovely brownies until we were both told we had diabetes, but honestly, I say to him, eating them or not eating them makes no difference, only eating them makes my very happy! Happy WOYWW!? Stay Safe and keep On Crafting! ((Lyn)) #23...last!

  15. oooo those chocolates sound delicious. Well done you on the book, yep the time away from it will help it "mature" in your mind and also aid a new eye on it when you get back to it. BJ#13
