WOYWW 695 Cat shawl pin and the never-ending Tizzy

Hi all,
Brr hasn’t it gone cold all of a sudden!
I’m enjoying wearing my cat stitch shawl I made last year with my cat shawl pin

I’ll be glad when Tizzy is finished. I go round and round the border, to widen the front. When I’ve done that, I’ve four 6” squares to add to the bottom of the back and a second pocket to do.  I’m having to go slowly now as my elbow tendons ache if I do too much.

On Sunday we went to the Apple Fair at Perry Court Farm. There were steam engines and donkeys (also enjoying apples)…
…and lots of different varieties of apple.

We bought Worcester Pairmains, Egremont russets and some lovely late apricots. I had a gorgeous damson ice cream.
It’s on again this weekend if you’re in Kent.
We also went to another local fair, in Hythe, to buy honey from my friend, Chris Farrell, who’s a beekeeper.

We have autumn covid boosters on Sunday. Enjoy the crop this weekend if you’re going!

Gracie and Bella send purrs to you all. They’ve been ‘helping me’ with Tizzy.

And finally…

I’m off now to The Stamping Ground to have a look at your blogs and to comment.
Take care and happy WOYWW!
Hugs

  2. That looks like a good day out. The kitties are keeping warm and I think you're right it has cooled down this week. We've had the booster too this week. It's the first one that's made us both feel a bit unwell but it seems to be going off now. Take care and happy WOYWW, Angela x10x

  3. Ooh Lynne I love your shawl pin - what a stunner - and what a gorgeous shawl too. The apple fair sounds great and the damson ice cream sounds heavenly. Tizzy is looking fab and I love your 'helpers', or should that be 'distractions'!
    Have a good week,

  4. Morning Lynne. That festival sounds - and looks - great fun. Lovely to hear about. So near, and yet seemingly so far - to finishing Tizzy. It's looking really good. The colours are great.
    Take care. God bless.

  5. I cannot wait for this Tizzy to be finished, so I hope your elbow is up to it this coming week.
How strange you went to an Apple Fair - we went to Sizergh Castle to see how the plants and shrubs were now it is autumn and we ended up buying apples. They had lots of varieties on show for us and the trees in the orchard were still quite full. We bought Ribster Pippins.

  6. Yes it has got chillier, I'm still in shorts but have longleeves and just added a scarf round my neck - feel much better now!! Apple festival looks amazing - all those different varieties! I shall miss our local Apple Day as I will be at the crop but it is quite a small affair at the small community farm where my husband volunteers. Loving the tizzy! Love n hugs Cindyxx # 14

  7. It has got very cold all of a sudden, hasn't it! Where's my Indian summer? I remember October 3rd a few years ago (I only remember cause it's my husband's birthday) it was 26C degrees! At least you have some lovely shawls to cosy up in! Love the fluffy kitties! Wishing you a wonderful week! xx zsuzsa #16

  13. Roll on Tizzy - look forward to the catwalk modelling :) We had our jabs. A bit painful, feeling a bit out of sorts, but not awful. Glad it's done! My goodness that is a LOT of apples. Damson ice cream sounds lovely - we had Blue Vinney icecream once and it was weird but delicious in small doses!
    Happy WOYWW, catching up!
